Purpose of the Course:
The Basic Driver Improvement (BDI) course is designed to educate drivers on safe driving techniques and Florida traffic laws. Whether you’re attending because of a traffic citation, a court order, or voluntarily to improve your driving skills, this course will help you become a safer and more responsible driver.
Who Should Take This Course?
You may be required to complete a BDI course if:
You received a moving traffic violation and elected to attend traffic school to avoid points on your driving record.
You were ordered by the court or a judge.
You were involved in a crash and found at fault.
You received two traffic tickets within 12 months.
You want to voluntarily improve your driving record or insurance rates (check with your insurance provider).
