The OSHA Series are classes at the Safety Council of PBC, Inc. They are designed to bring your employees comprehensive training with a minimal time away from work. Each course includes continental breakfast and a hand out package.\u00a0 These courses are also available upon request -at your location or ours.\u00a0 You may combine any of these topics to create a longer educational session.\u00a0 Each topic typically runs two hours.<\/p>\n

Exit Routes and Fire Plans<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Obtain knowledge of the elements of an Emergency Action Plan ,\u00a0 Understand the differences between exit access, exit and exit discharge.\u00a0 Learn the proper means to extinguish different types of fires, and gain familiarity with the different types of fire extinguishers.<\/p>\n

Hand and Power Tools \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Proper personal protective equipment and specific precautions for these tools will be the focus of this seminar.,<\/p>\n

Ladder Safety<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Explore the hazards associated with portable ladders, the different ladder ratings, and identify specific precautions that should be taken when using ladders.\u00a0 Members $35.00 \/ Non-Members $45.00<\/p>\n

Lockout\/Tagout<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Ensure employees understand the purpose and function of an energy control program and that they have the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of energy controls.\u00a0 Members $35.00 \/ Non-Members $45.00<\/p>\n

Machine Guarding<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Understand the three basic motions of machinery and how this can affect the type of safety guards needed on a machine.\u00a0 Different types of machine guards and safety devices will be discussed.<\/p>\n

Warehouse Material Handling<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 September 10th, 2014\u00a0 8:30 a.m. \u2013 10:30 a.m. Learn how to identify hazards in a warehouse operation.\u00a0 Safety considerations for stacking and storing materials will be discussed.\u00a0 Precautions to avoid lifting injuries will be detailed.\u00a0 Housekeeping practices and their importance will also be explored.\u00a0 Members $35.00 \/ Non-Members $45.00<\/p>\n

Electrical Hazards\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Upon completion you will understand the types of injuries that can occur from contact with electricity and warning signs to prevent coming in contact with electricity.
